The source distribution is not required for writing programs using the LabJackJNI.

If you are interested in how the code works please download and peruse the files.  If you are interested in rebuilding the binaries, you will need the following tools:

Sun J2SE SDK
Microsoft Visual C++ (for the JNI DLL).
